Educational Career

My educational journey spans four years, starting in Fall of 2021 to August of 2025. Through these years I have taken a diverse arrangement of courses from business, language, and technology.

Language Oriented Courses

SPAN 2010

Intermediate Spanish

My first Spanish course after high school, I focused on refining my reading/writing/speaking/listening skills to be at an intermediate level.

SPAN 2020

Intermediate Spanish Continuation

In this course, a continuation of SPAN 2010, I further developed my Spanish skills by bui8lding and expanding m vocabulary and grammatical structures. Also delved into foundational literary and cultural concepts.

SPAN 3020

Intermediate Spanish Grammer and Compositon

This intensive course, I focused my learning of Spanish grammatical concepts and vocabulary, was applied to enhance my overall writing skills and deepen my understanding of the language's syntax and composition stylistics.

Introduction to Hispanic Literary Forms

In this collaborative course, I was introduced to elements and structures of fiction, poetry, and dramas through the readings of 19th - 20th century Spanish/Spanish-American literature. Not only gaining a deeper understanding of literary concepts but also significant cultural events in the Hispanic literary world.

Intermediate Spanish Conversation & Composition 1

Here I advanced in my abilities to converse in Spanish by prioritizing pronunciation, intonation, and on the spot comprehension. Our in class speaking exercises pushed me out of my comfort zone while also making me more confident i my speaking abilities.

Spanish Composition for Business

In this course I was able to enhance my Spanish writing in a business context through this intensive course where I focused on business concepts and how to communicate them appropriately.

The Hispanic World: Spain

This course, being one of my study abroad courses, we focused on Spanish culture from its origin to the country it is today.

Spanish for International Business 1

Here I built an important and strong foundation in using Spanish in a business context. Learning key business vocabulary, concepts, and cultural practices that prepared me to intern abroad in Spain the following semester.

Hispanic Film

In this course, we watched a new film weekly that was made by a prominent female director in Spain. Every film defined a stage in Post-Franco Spanish society, which helped enrich my understanding of the social, cultural, and historical realities of Spain.

Spanish for International Business 2

In this post internship course, I was able to use my experience working in a Spanish workplace to explore more social, political, and economic topics within Spanish-speaking countries as a whole. I also enhanced my understanding of management, banking, investment, trade and marketing within Hispanic markets.

Management of Information Systems

This class helped form the foundation of my LAIB major. Introducing me to the world and nature of International Business while also diving into potential career opportunities.

Here I learned the basic accounting principles that were rooted in analyzing and using financial data. 

In this course, I focused on understanding the behaviors of consumers and business firms under the umbrella of economic reasoning.

Here I learned about what it takes to take on a management role in today's corporate world, focusing on different managerial functions and the principles of organization.

Building on the topics learned in ECON 2110, I now had to apply them to aggregate economic performance.

In this course I developed a strong formation in marketing topics like planning, pricing, and promoting.

Instead of focusing only on the business side of marketing, this course delved into the behavioral science side of the decison making process.

In this action-packed course of a combination of psychology and marketing practices, I learned about the lasting effects diverse environmental factors have on international markets.

Here I learned about management from a global perspective, understanding institutional differences that are seen in international organizations and what effect that has on international trade, investments, and their stakeholders.

In this course, I explored current policy issues in conjunction with the basic theories of trade and exchange rates.

Here I was able to utilize my technology background to enhance my knowledge and understanding of software and hardware applications of information systems in business.

In this report, I assessed news articles in Spanish to gain a deeper understanding of contemporary social and cultural challenges in Spain, while also analyzing how these topics relate to our class discussions on social acceptance, politics, and LGBTQ+ rights, as well as reinforcing my knowledge and application of Spanish grammar in professional and literary contexts.

This is a report I wrote for my Spanish Literature class that analyzes Miguel de Unamuno’s San Manuel Bueno, mártir, focusing on the protagonist’s internal struggle with faith, the impact of his deception on those around him, and how the story reflects the broader religious and ideological shifts in Spain at the turn of the 20th century.

This report critically explores the integration of artificial intelligence in non-playable characters (NPCs) within Unreal Engine 5, situating these developments within the broader discourse of interactive narrative theory and examining their implications for authorship, agency, and emergent storytelling in digital game environments.

This case study analyzes how specific musical features—such as tempo, timbre, and cultural associations—influence consumer emotions and decision-making, highlighting the strategic importance of selecting music that aligns with both the intended brand message and the cultural context of the target audience.

In my Talk Abroad conversations, I practiced Spanish with Maribel from Nicaragua and Alejandra from Mexico, learning about their lives, traditions, and cultures while improving my vocabulary and confidence. I really enjoyed hearing firsthand how people from different countries celebrate holidays and live day-to-day, which made learning Spanish feel more real and connected to the world.

In this group project, we conducted an in-depth analysis of CookOut's potential entry into the Swedish fast-food market, identifying key challenges such as stringent labor laws, environmental regulations, and local competition, while emphasizing the importance of cultural adaptation, sustainable practices, and targeted marketing strategies to meet the demands of Sweden's eco-conscious and health-focused consumers.
